Resources for digital transformation within Scotland's environment sector

About

By achieving our potential for digital transformation with citizens and communities, Scottish environment organisations will be more resilient and ready to move quickly and collaboratively on tackling the climate and nature crisis. This is essential for Scotland's contribution to progressing the Sustainable Development Goals, as articulated in Scotland by its National Performance Framework.

Our aim is to explore how, together, environment organisations can use innovative digital technologies to address the shared challenges of climate change and biodiversity loss, and work together to create a nature-rich future. Through improved science, slicker internal operations and more targeted public engagement we can all be better informed, more effective and better focused on improving the environment and empower the public to help us on this journey.

This website brings together a range of digital resources, including case studies, relevant guides or initiatives and available support, that we hope will help accelerate the digital transformation journey in Scotland’s environment sector.

The resource has been developed for Scotland's environment sector by the Scottish Wildlife Trust in partnership with NatureScot. Many others who have provided advice and input will feature here soon. It is designed to be a friendly front end to the content maintained on the Digital transformation Wiki.

Resource Explorer

You can try out our experimental resource explorer which aims to curate digital resources from around the internet in one place. Simply click on any item on the wheel (or block on the mobile version) to filter the list below or select a resource. Resources will open in a new window. Click in the centre of the wheel (or left most box on the mobile version) to go back to the full graphic. Happy exploring!
